Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2018 02 12 – The lights shine from behind one of the drill beams while dust fills the air as another drill works on the 300 bench.

2018 02 13 – I’m pouring the blast hole samples into a sifter, getting it ready to put into the crusher. A small portion of this is then pulverized and analyzed for gold.

2018 02 14 – The setting sun lights up the evening sky over Fort Frances, Ontario.

2018 02 15 – A few white-tailed deer stand around on Mission Island along the shoreline of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Adriane and I found out why all the deer congregate here, one of the houses puts out a tub of feed.

2018 02 16 – While visiting Adriane and Johnathan in Thunder Bay I played chess numerous time; it was fun. I haven’t played in well over 10 years. It was approximately 1500 AD when the modern form of chess came to be.

2018 02 17 – Icicles form beneath a bridge at the Lorne Allard Fisherman’s Park in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Lorne Allard was a long-serving city councilor who helped make the park a reality.

2018 02 18 – People make their way through a snow maze at the 2018 Voyageur Winter Carnival. The historical site brought winter alive with the snow maze, musket shooting, winter tubing and snowmobile stunt shows.
