Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2018 Week 06 Photographs
by Corey Lablans Photography
(37th Week, Year 5 – 1715 days – 1 missed)

2018 02 05 – In 1878 the Conservative Party under Prime Minister John A. Macdonald enacted the “National Policy,” levying high tariffs on foreign goods to stimulate the growth of Canada. The Canadian Pacific Railway came out during this time, laying the way for westward development, which ties into these grain elevators along the shoreline of Thunder Bay.

2018 02 11 – A view looking into one of the sample bags awaiting processing. The next step is to put it in the oven to dry. The material needs to be 100% dry for fire assay.
