Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2014 Week 09 Photos

2014 Week 09 Photos
By Corey Lablans Photography
(39th Week Photographing Daily)

Nothing too special went on this past week until the end when the Kingston Climbing Competition occurred. Found some various things to photograph throughout the week. Somewhat learned how to play one of the Settlers of Catan expansion packs, definitely different. Hope you enjoy, maybe one of these weeks I’ll try a theme again.

2014 02 24 – A student walks down the walkway in front of the Queen’s BioScience Complex off Arch Street. I have had numerous classes in BioSci from global development studies to chemistry.

2014 02 25 – A RRRoll Up the Rim to Win Tim Hortons cup sits on top of a urinal at the John Deutsch University Centre. Prizes range from a Toyota Corolla to various food items.

2014 02 26 – Explorers and Pirates is one of the four expansions you can play with the original Settlers of Catan. It adds harbours, crew, ships, gold, fish and spice bags. The game was invented by Klaus Teuber and was first introduced in 1995 in Germany.

2014 02 27 – A chalk drawn forensic scene on a desk in Ellis Hall, Queen’s University. Chalk consists of millions of microscopic marine plankton (coccolithophores), composed mostly of calcite.

2014 02 28 – Frost clings to the car window this morning as temperatures houvered around -19 degrees Celsius (-26 with wind chill). This type of frost is known as fern frost or ice flowers.

2014 03 01 – A Carnaby Sweet Swiss milk chocolate hazelnut bar, a product of Switzerland. Carnaby Sweet is a new branding by Shopper Drug Mart that replaced the Life product line just before Valentines Day.
