2014 Week 09 Photos

Nothing too special went on this past week until the end when
the Kingston Climbing Competition occurred. Found some various things to
photograph throughout the week. Somewhat learned how to play one of the Settlers
of Catan expansion packs, definitely different. Hope you enjoy, maybe one of
these weeks I’ll try a theme again.

2014 02 24 – A student walks down the walkway in front of
the Queen’s BioScience Complex off Arch Street. I have had numerous classes in
BioSci from global development studies to chemistry.

2014 02 25 – A RRRoll Up the Rim to Win Tim Hortons cup sits
on top of a urinal at the John Deutsch University Centre. Prizes range from a
Toyota Corolla to various food items.

2014 02 26 – Explorers and Pirates is one of the four
expansions you can play with the original Settlers of Catan. It adds harbours,
crew, ships, gold, fish and spice bags. The game was invented by Klaus Teuber
and was first introduced in 1995 in Germany.

2014 02 27 – A chalk drawn forensic scene on a desk in Ellis
Hall, Queen’s University. Chalk consists of millions of microscopic marine
plankton (coccolithophores), composed
mostly of calcite.

2014 02 28 – Frost clings to the car window this morning as
temperatures houvered around -19 degrees Celsius (-26 with wind chill). This
type of frost is known as fern frost or ice flowers.

2014 03 01 – A Carnaby Sweet Swiss milk chocolate hazelnut
bar, a product of Switzerland. Carnaby Sweet is a new branding by Shopper Drug
Mart that replaced the Life product line just before Valentines Day.

2014 03 02 – Graham Tattersall concentrates on a hold while
competing in the Boiler Room QCC Competition. Mark placed first in men’s open
and Clarissy placed first in women’s. There were four categories: junior,
beginner, intermediate and open.
