Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2014 Week 08 Photos

Initially temperatures were not looking favourable for our trip to Kentucky but in the end it turned out to be amazing. Watching out for falling ice was interesting at the sites, as massive chunks would come barreling down. Every day temperatures progressively increased until our final day, 22 degree Celsius. Had an excellent time in the cabin this year, something very different then our typical camping. Out of the last four years, I would say this was one of the best. It sucked coming back to Kingston, as temperatures remained well below zero.

2014 02 21 – Packs are placed liked tetris blocks in the back of the minivan as we get ready to head home from a week of climbing in Red River George, Slade, Kentucky. We ended up with amazing weather starting off a little cool, 6 degC and ending with 20 degC.

2014 02 22 – As the sunsets it created this beautiful gradation from orange to dark blue.  The sun was up for a total of 10h 50m 05s and had an altitude of 35.7 degrees.

2014 02 23 – The setting sun reflects off an icy sidewalk along Woodbine Road. Widely fluctuating temperatures have left all sidewalks icy and difficult to walk on.
