2014 12 22 – Ice patches interlock in the harbour at
Confederation Basin. In the background is Shoal Tower, which is 11m high by
16.5m in diameter.

2014 12 23 – I’m pouring in the butter tart filling, which
consists of brown sugar, egg, vanilla and butter. This was the first time
making them, a few things to adjust for next time.

2014 12 24 – Members of Crossroad United Church depict the
nativity scene during Christmas Eve family service, a traditional celebration

2014 12 26 – Two of my cousins opening presents on Boxing
Day. In 1917 Hallmark sold out of tissue paper, so they supplied fancy coloured
envelope lining. Its popularity led to it being added to their line of
products.

2014 12 27 – Nanny makes a move while playing Ticket to
Ride. A German-style board game invented by Alan R. Moon in 2004, since then it
has won numerous awards.

20014 12 28 – A black-capped chickadee flies off a hand
while at the Owl Woods on Amherst Island. This is the state bird for both Maine
and Massachusetts, as well as the provincial bird of New Brunswick.
