2014 12 15 – Lights decorate the trees at Springer Market
Square behind City Hall. City Hall was constructed in 1844 and designed by
George Browne.

2014 12 16 – A manual crank at Kingston Mills used to open
and close the locks. Construction began in 1827 and is one of 24 lockstations
making up the Rideau Canal system.

2014 12 17 – In 1913 Oskar Barnack of Leitz developed the
first prototype of the 35mm camera, altering the standard cinema 35mm film. Ten
years later after WWI, the first 35mm camera was commercialized and the Leica I
was born.

2014 12 18 – A set of fun postcards made for another residence don
during a Christmas gift exchange. What he wrote down for his gift was, “a trip
around the world with Jennifer Lawrence.” (Nikon D300 w 17-35 f2.8 @17mm f4

2014 12 19 – Crew set up the stage at Springer Market Square
for the Roger’s Hometown Hockey. They are touring 25 cities across Canada with
their next stop in Peterborough.

2014 12 20 – The first pastry I have made in over 10 years
and the first mincemeat tarts. Original mincemeat tarts in England had meat,
now they are made more as desserts.

2014 12 21 - An ornament hangs on our Christmas tree as
lights from behind allow it to glow various colours.
