Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2014 12 29 – Built in 1962 by Chantier Maritime De St. Laurent Ltee the Frontenac II approaches the ferry dock at Millhaven as the sunsets.

2014 12 30 – Construction continues on at 165 Wellington Street in downtown Kingston. BPE Development plans on building 27 units and three commercial units.

2014 12 31 – Preparations for Winterlude are underway as snow machines are in operation at Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau. Winterlude runs from January 30th to February 16th.

2015 01 01 – A bottle of Magnotta wine sits outside on the deck after a day of snow. Magnotta has four vineyards with 180 acres in Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula and 351 acres in Chile’s Maipo Valley.

2015 01 02 – Fresh snow covers the surrounded edges of the Collins Bay River. A very popular walking location for well over a decade, it has now been fenced off due to liability reasons. More on the story: http://www.thewhig.com/2014/11/16/popular-trails-closed-to-public

2015 01 04 – Cars drive slowly through a flooded out section of University Avenue at Earl Street. Kingston received everything from snow, to freezing rain and rain within the last 24 hours.
