2018 03 06 – Icicles form along the melting snow bank beside the Rainy
River in Fort Frances. (Nikon D7000 w 80-400 f4.5-5.6 @210mm f8 1/320th I.S.O. 400) |
2018 03 07 – My hard hat, decked out with a winter liner,
headlamp and earmuffs, just one key part of the personal protective equipment I
wear on a daily basis.

2018 03 08 – A few dishes dry in the rack while others
await washing. I do most of my dishes in the white tub and rinse them off in
the small sink (9.5” x 11.5”).

2018 03 09 – A few bags of blast hole material loaded
into the back of our Ford F350 sample truck. The bags range from 4 to 14 kg,
averaging around 9 kg.
(Nikon D7000 w 50 f1.8 @50mm f4 1/125th I.S.O. 2000) |
2018 03 10 – A blast hole drill at night is illuminated by another drill
working further down the pattern. (Nikon D7000 w 50 f1.8 @50mm f4 1/8th I.S.O. 4000) |
2018 03 11 – A haul truck backs up to be loaded during
the night shift. Hauling material is a 24/7 job with a few downtimes for shift
change and breaks.
