Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2017 05 08 – A few broken down buses are reflected off the side view mirrors of a 76-passenger school bus. This week I was driving the larger bus, filling in for someone on vacation.

2017 05 09 – A La Salle Secondary School rugby player is tackled by Napanee District Secondary School players during a regular season game at Nixon Field. The game ended in a tie 5-5, leaving both teams undefeated and tied for first.

2017 05 10 – Two senior girls soccer players concentrate on the ball as it comes down after a high kick. The Regiopolis-Notre Dame Panthers defeated the Loyalist Lancers 6-1 in the quarterfinal match.

2017 05 11 – A Kingston high school student attempts to clear 1.75 meters during the second day of the KASSAA track and field meet. He will move on to EOSSAA after winning the senior boys high jump.

2017 05 12 – An Ernestown Secondary School rugby player is tackled by Regi players during a rain-date game at Regi. Regi ended up winning the fun exhibition style game.

2017 05 13 – A multicoloured tulip stands out amongst the yellow tulips in front of City Hall at Confederation Basin. This was the only multicoloured tulip in the six yellow tulip gardens.

2017 05 14 – A tendril ivy, parthenocissus, grows outside of Camera Kingston. In botany, a tendril is a specialized stem, evolved in plants that climb.
