2017 05 01 – The Church of the Good Thief in Portsmouth Village is
silhouetted by the setting sun painting the sky a beautiful orange, red and
purple.

2017 05 02 – A variety of coloured fluorite, collected this past weekend
in Madoc, Ontario, are scattered on our picnic table. Fluorite is mined for
fluorine, an element used in steel manufacturing and in toothpaste.

2017 05 03 – Egg is swirled into a mixture of shortening
and sugar while making chocolate chip cookie squares.

2017 05 04 – Thomas buses are built in High Point, South Carolina. The
company was founded in 1916, when Perley A. Thomas started up the business
after becoming unemployed.

2017 05 05 – My desk is covered in an array of items, as I have many
interests, hobbies and enjoy collecting.

2017 05 06 – Water rushes out from a limestone outcrop along Division
Street across from the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area. Over the past
several days more then 90 millimeters of rain feel in Kingston.

2017 05 07 – A small school of carp take advantage of the
flooded road, swimming on the westbound lanes of Front Road. Kingston had some
flooding but nothing compared to Ottawa, Gatineau or north of Peterborough.
