Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2017 03 20 – Dense fog reduces visibility during the early morning commute in Kingston’s west-end. In some places north of Kingston it was freezing fog.

2017 03 21 – A black capped chickadee (Poecile atricapillus) grabs a sunflower seed at Lemoine Point Conservation Area. The fatty kernel inside if highly sought after by wintering birds.

2017 03 22 – The front of a 26 passenger school bus is reflected off the driver’s side crossover mirror. This mirrors help see what is directly in front of the vehicle.

2017 03 23 – A 76 seat school bus is seen through the window of a 26 seat school bus just before our afternoon run.

2017 03 24 – A section of a multi-piece mudstone slab from the Mackenzie Mountains used in studying Cryogenian aged life forms. The Cryogenian is a geological period ranging from 720 to 635 million years ago.

2017 03 25 – Two flats of amethyst collected from Pearl, Ontario. I put these together to show a co-worker who was interested in getting some.

2017 03 26 – The new date stamp for passport photographs. Another worker bought this one a few weeks ago as the last one ended in 2016 and the other one was awkward to use.
