Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2016 09 19 – The setting sun shines through wild grape vines at Lemoine Point Conservation Area. There are a total of 79 species within the family Vitaceae.

2016 09 20 – Students enjoy the common area in the lower level of the John Deutsch University Center while doing some work.

2016 09 21 – Students make their way along the side of Union Street in front of the Physical Education Centre (PEC) while construction workers drill holes for a fence. Queen’s is revitalizing the PEC into a health, wellness and innovation centre.

2016 09 22 – Students look through posters during the annual Imaginus poster sale in the John Deutsch University Centre. Imaginus has been putting on poster sales at Universities and Colleges across campus since 1975.

2016 09 23 – Yellow tomatoes wait to be picked in our back vegetable garden. Out of all the vegetables and fruits they are doing the best. Yellow tomatoes tend to be less acidic then red tomatoes.

2016 09 24 – Alf discharges his microblaster, breaking off a large section of a marble block at the Tweed Marble Quarry. This particular block has a unique feature running through it known as a pegmatite dyke.

2016 09 25 – Luscious McIntosh are waiting to be picked at an orchard west of Kingston along ON-33. First discovered in Upper Canada by John McIntosh in the early 1800’s, the McIntosh is Canada’s national apple.
