Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2016 06 06 – A player from the Bayridge Blazers catches the ball moments before a Frontenac Falcons player reaches first base during the KASSAA baseball finals. The Blazers came ahead winning 1-0.

2016 06 07 – Cumulus clouds fill the sky while looking down University Avenue at Queen’s University. Cumulus comes from a 17th century Latin word meaning heap.

2016 06 08 – A ball dahlia is in full bloom outside of City Hall in downtown Kingston; they are native to Mexico.

2016 06 09 – Principal Woolf shakes Derek’s hand moments before I head onto stage from my convocation. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science Honours in Geological Sciences with a minor in Geography.

2016 06 10 – A member of the HMS Acasta and Royal Tars of Old England pose for a photograph on the St. Lawrence II during Gunboat weekend in Bath.

2016 06 11 – A snapping turtle (Chelydra serpentina) makes its way across Highway 62 north of Bancroft, Ontario. Grabbing a turtle by its tail can permanently dislocated its vertebrates.

2016 06 12 – Re-enactors acting as members of the Loyalist regiment stand their ground as American troops take aim during the annual Gunboat weekend in Bath, Ontario. The weekend plays out the November 1812 battle where US gunboats attack the Royal George.
