Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2015 02 09 – A chalk drawing in Miller Hall that depicts a volcanic eruption with a pyroclastic flow heading towards a village and is prevented by some character.

2015 02 10 – A student walks along a path behind Ontario Hall at Queen’s University. This beautiful Romanesque building was completed in 1903.

2015 02 11 – Ed cuts down the table, a particular facet on the surface of a cut gem, to make it easier for me to cut the remaining facets. This is the first faceted gem that I have cut. (Gemstone is Quartz)

2015 02 12 – My passport sits on top of my packed luggage ready to leave at 6:30 a.m. to Louisiana for Reading Week.

2015 02 13 – Members of the Kingston Lapidary and Mineral Club enjoy cake and a few snacks at a celebratory opening, celebrating their new location in The Tett Centre. After a few years of renovations it opened this month.

2015 02 14 – Swerve marks in the snow show where a car lost control during wintery conditions, slowing down traffic. On our first day headed to Louisiana driving was terrible from Kingston to Windsor.

2015 02 15 – People look over old bottles and historical artifacts at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. One of the most popular Whiskies it has been in production since 1875 and is produced in a dry district.
