Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2018 Week 13 Photographs
by Corey Lablans Photography
(44th Week, Year 5 – 1764 days – 1 missed)

2018 03 26 – We use these ALS Minerals booklets to keep track of duplicates, blanks and blind standards that are delivered to the lab. They all help ensure the lab is operating accurately and with precision.

2018 03 27 – It took over two hours but someone eventually came to changed the truck tire. The flat tire occurred at a busy time in the day, they were changing a haul truck tire and a blast was scheduled for that time.

2018 03 28 – Instead of using the typical chocolate chips for these cookies, I used mini Reese's Pieces. Reese's Pieces came out in Canada in 1980, three years after being released in the States.

(Nikon D7000 w 17-35 f2.8 @17mm f5 1/20th I.S.O. 640)

2018 03 29 – I cooked up a colourful shrimp stir-fry for dinner. Shrimp contribute approximately $1.2 billion annually to Louisiana.

2018 03 30 – Various booster packs of Magic: The Gathering covering the past 3 years is assembled for a chaos draft. The packs are put into a bag and each person pulls a pack, going around until each person has three packs.

(Nikon D7000 w 50 f1.8 @50mm f3.5 1/250th I.S.O. 2000)

2018 03 31 – Ryan casts a spell killing Clinton’s creature while playing at Hometown Hobbies and Crafts in International Falls during Saturday Standard Showdown. There are six sets currently in the Standard format: Kaladesh, Aether Revolt, Amonkhet, Hour of Devastation, Ixalan and Rivals of Ixalan.

(Nikon D7000 w 17-35 f2.8 @24mm f4 1/500th I.S.O. 4000)

2018 04 01 – I finally got around to cleaning and folding my clothes. There are so many everyday technology advances that make our lives easier; think of the washing machine, how much it has evolved since the mid-18th century steam powered commercial machines.
