Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2017 12 18 – Snow blankets the sky as a 220 tonne haul truck parks for an afternoon meeting.

2017 12 19 – Blowing snow fills the air as it whips across a lake off Highway 11 close to Fort Frances.

2017 12 20 – The salt and mud is washed off my car as I go through an Esso carwash in Thunder Bay. Sodium chloride is the most widely used of the salts, when temperatures dip below -18 degrees Celsius other salts such as Magnesium or Calcium chloride are used.

2017 12 21 – Johnathan strolls along the sidewalk outside his apartment in Thunder Bay before driving him to the airport to fly to the Toronto area for Christmas.

2017 12 22 – Various controls inside a 72 passenger school bus, I drove it for few days while I was back in Thunder Bay.

2017 12 23 – A tugboat breaks up ice along the shoreline of Thunder Bay. In the background you can see a portion of the sleeping giant.

2017 12 24 – Santa hands a gift to one of the kids during a Christmas event at the
Rural 60 Plus Centre east of Kakabeka Falls. I was invited by a co-worker to join her family for Christmas Eve dinner.
