Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2017 10 30 – Last night’s cool temperature and snow turned Thunder Bay into a winter wonderland. This is a view of a tree line and truck off Owen Road.

2017 10 31 – A full carriage and skeleton coachman are just one of the elaborate Halloween props making up a haunted yard off Westbury Crescent in Thunder Bay. The owners have been decorating their front yard for years, enjoying Halloween festivities.

2017 11 02 – A snowy skeleton holds Ernie from Sesame Street off Mapleward Road in Thunder Bay. Numerous Halloween decorations covered this house’s front lawn. The snow added a little extra character to the scenery.

2017 11 03 – A member of the Ontario First Nations Youth Peoples Council (O.F.N.Y.P.C.) speaks to youth and elders during the first “Youth-Elders Gathering on Climate: Reconnecting with Mother Earth” at the Nor’wester Hotel and Convention Centre in Thunder Bay. Youth and elders met to address climate change and brainstorm ideas on how to approach the issue.
