Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

By Corey Lablans Photography
(21st Week, Year 5 – 1603 days – 1 missed)

2017 10 16 – A red coloured silver maple leaf (Acer saccharinum) lies on the ground outside of the apartment in Thunder Bay. The genus name referrers to the sharp points on a maple leaf, while the silver referrers to the underside colouration.

2017 10 17 – Halloween decorations brighten up the front of one of the school buses in Thunder Bay. Halloween is a combination of various celebrations, which includes All Saints’ Day and Samhain.

2017 10 19 – My Carnage Tyrant has no chance against The Scarab God and two hijacked Ripjaw Raptors during a magic game at Thunder Games. Definitely did not end up winning this game.

2017 10 20 – A muskrat (Ondatra zibethicus) eats some vegetation in Lake Tamblyn at Lakehead University. Muskrats can hold their breath up to 20 minutes.

2017 10 21 – A player looks through Pokémon Sun & Moon Crimson Invasion cards during a pre-release event at Thunder Games and Gifts.

2017 10 22 – This is my first attempt at changing the tire of Johnathan’s car. It didn’t work out, as the jack would not lift the vehicle high enough.
