2016 09 05 – Queen’s Engineering Society members repaint the crests from
the past four years outside of Clark Hall. Each year a new crest is developed
for the incoming students.

2016 09 06 – 3,373 students, faculty and community members gather on
Nixon Field at Queen’s University to break the Guinness World Record for the
largest human letter. Dell Technologies was the previous record holder forming
the letter E with 2,166 people.

2016 09 07 – A upper year Queen’s engineering student, known as a Frec,
is dyed purple during one of the engineering orientation events. Gentian,
hexamethyl pararosaniline chloride is what is used to dye the skin purple.

2016 09 08 – First year Arts and Science student roll
around in sand during Orientation Week’s Frosh Olympics at City Park. The day’s
events include numerous games involving mud and shaving cream.
