Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2016 08 29 – Construction workers put the finishing touches on a new sidewalk along Lancaster Drive. In North America the legal terminology is “sidewalk” while in the United Kingdom it is “footway.”

2016 08 30 – Mason workers continue replacing limestone blocks on Ontario Hall while people walk along the side of University Avenue. Completed in 1903 it was built to house the Faculty of Mining and Agriculture. It now houses the Department of Art.

2016 08 31 – Queen’s University students make their way across University Avenue during a torrential rain storm. It was impossible to stay dry; so much rain came down in 10 minutes.

2016 09 02 – Queen’s University students examine a campus map outside of the John Deutsch University Centre. Over 17,000 students will be returning to campus over the next couple of days.

2016 09 03 – Players from the Queen’s Gaels and Nipissing Lakers battle for the ball during an OUA men’s soccer game at the Miklas-McCarney Field on West Campus. The Gaels dominated winning 5 to 1.

2016 09 04 – Players from the Queen’s Gaels and Laurentian Voyageurs race after the ball during a regular season OUA women’s soccer game at Miklas-McCarney Field on West Campus. Queen’s maintained control of the game winning 2 to 0.
