Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2016 08 08 – A person heads out into the open water while windsurfing along Kingston’s waterfront.

2016 08 09 – A few cherry tomatoes are turning red and will soon be ready to pick. We have picked several tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers this year but not a lot.

2016 08 10 – High school students watch as a core sample is placed into a compressive strength test at Queen’s University. Students attend various engineering sectors at Queen’s University throughout several days and this was one of the Geological Engineering sessions.

2016 08 11 – Hundreds of people fill Springer Market Square in downtown Kingston for Movies in the Square. This week they were showing the 2015 adaptation of Cinderella.

2016 08 12 – Maryam enjoys the warmth while relaxing on a picnic table along the shoreline of Lake Ontario in Kingston. Temperatures reached 33°C with a humidex value of 41°C, breaking past Kingston records.

2016 08 13 – A family stands in the middle of Springer Market Square during the famers market. Kingston saw 19.1 millimeters of rain; some needed relief after one of the area’s worst droughts.

2016 08 14 – A mother carries her kid past a variety store in the Pacific Mall in Markham. There are approximately 450 stores ranging from toys to car parts and clothing.
