Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2016 07 04 – A new sign commemorating the 175th anniversary of Queen’s University stands out in the flower bed in front of the John Deutsch University Centre. It was built at the beginning of the summer.

2016 07 05 – A kiteboarder uses his kite to drag himself through the water to reach his board after loosing it during a trick.

2016 07 06 – A group heads off into the setting sun on an Ahoy Rentals evening sailing charter. The boat is a 24-foot sloop, a word given to sailboats with a single headsail.

2016 07 07 – Mighty Mike performs to a crowd on Ontario Street during the 28th annual Kingston Buskers Rendezvous. New to the lineup this year, his final act involved juggling a sludge hammer and knives.

2016 07 08 – Chantal performs “A Tension” on Princess Street during the 28th annual Kingston Buskers Rendezvous. New to the festival this year she comes from Montreal.

2016 07 09 – A girl holds onto a large stuffed unicorn that she got from the midway while attending the 32nd annual Belleville Waterfront and Ethnic Festival.

2016 07 10 – A girl grabs a surprise bag while having fun at one of the carnival games at the 32nd annual Belleville Waterfront and Ethnic Festival. The festival offered a wide variety of activities, live entertainment and food.
