Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2014 09 01 – A student takes a selfie with a sea of first years students in the background after partaking in a world record capture the flag game. Over 2000 Queen’s students partook, surpassing University of Victoria’s record of 700.

2014 09 02 – First year students read messages on various coloured tiles while on a campus tour. Every first year student was given a tile to lie down at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre to create a large Queen’s University flag.

2014 09 03 – A mix of first year and upper year students enjoy Queen’s in the Park, an event during Orientation Week that highlights many of the clubs students can get involved with. Queen’s has the second largest number of clubs in North America, just behind Harvard.

2014 09 04 – One of the upper year engineers is covered in thunder sludge, a mixture of oatmeal and flour, while partaking in the thundermugs race. It is a team event where first year engineers build contraptions to keep nurses clean.

2014 09 05 – Two first year concurrent education students paint their coveralls during orientation week at Queen’s University.

2014 09 06 – A member of the Queen’s cheerleading team is caught by two other members after performing a routine during a home football game at Richardson Stadium.

2014 09 07 – A Columbian Rainbow Boa, named Shim, looks through the glass of his tank after it was cleaned. Shim was bought at the Mississauga Reptile Expo back in April 2001.
