Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2014 05 19 – Fireworks light up the night sky as thousands of people line the shorelines at Lake Ontario Park for the first time in a decade. This is part of the park’s revitalization project, which began last year.

2014 05 20 – The owner of this Chevrolet Camaro 396 bought it new 35 years ago and is keeping it in nice condition.  These cars first hit the dealerships in September of 1966.

2014 05 21 – In 2007 Canadian mining firm Teck Cominco Ltd made a $10 million gift to the Royal Ontario Museum to create the new exhibit. The Teck Suite of Galleries: Earth’s Treasures is located on the second floor of the ROM and contains approximately 3000 specimens.

2014 05 22 – A 32 GB ProMaster secure digital memory card hangs on the wall at Camera Kingston. ProMaster is a buying group that sells to independent photographic dealers, producing some really nice and affordable equipment.

2014 05 23 – A student competes in one of the long jump competitions at the Eastern Ontario Secondary School Athletics Association (EOSSAA) track and field meet in Brockville at the Thousand Island Secondary School.

2014 05 24 – A highland dancer competes in Kingston Scottish Festival held at Rideau Acres Campground off highway 15. The one-day festival had a variety of pipe and dance competitions, along with vendors selling Scottish memorabilia.

2014 05 25 – Two kiteboarders make their way towards the shore after the wind dies down leaving them afloat in Lake Ontario. The lake’s temperature is around 6 degrees Celsius.
