Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2014 05 07 – Started doing some preparation work on these two Mucrospirifer in a clay matrix from the Widder Formation at Hungry Hollow. This is an extinct genus of brachiopod that lived in muddy marine sediments some 360 million years ago.

2014 05 08 – This graffiti is probably one of my favourites behind Camera Kingston. It was created several years back and was done overtop of growing vines, this is why there are segments missing.

2014 05 09 – New store and office spaces await new businesses on Fortune Crescent off Gardiners Road in Kingston. Currently a café, burrito restaurant and dental facility have moved in. Will be interesting to see what takes the other open spaces.

2014 05 10 – A teddy bear sits on the back of a motorcycle outside of Lone Star wearing a City of Kingston pin, a Support Our Troops tag and a Ride for Sight pin. Ride for Sight received its charitable status in 1974 and raises money to fight blindness.

2014 05 11 – Numerous people walk around the Sunday Antique Market at Springer Market Square. The market runs every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting in April and ending in October.
