Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2013 Week 41 Photos

2013 Week 41 Photos
By Corey Lablans Photography

Despite a funeral and being sick on Monday and Tuesday, this past week was amazing. Almost everyday was filled with sunshine and amazing sunsets. Monday was slipping by and I had not taken a photo, so I kept an eye on the sky and it turned out to be beautiful. Here is my 19th week photographing on a daily basis, enjoy.
2013 10 07 – The sun sets behind some trees on Dunham Street. There was approximately 11 hours and 24 minutes of sun on October 7th with a loss of approximately 3 minutes per day.

2013 10 08 – A student sits in front of Douglas Library off University Avenue on Tuesday’s beautiful weather. Douglas Library is the Queen’s Engineering Library.

2013 10 09 – The sun sets behind some tree painting Cataraqui Bay with beautiful colours. The sun was approximately 149.493 million kilometres away from Earth on Wednesday.

2013 10 10 – Friends and family stand behind the tombstone of Malcolm Crawford (1927-1995) and Doris Crawford (1931 – September 23rd, 2013). Thank you for sparking the love of exploration in my mom and myself, may you rest in peace Grandma and Grandpa.

2013 10 11 – Queen’s scrumhalf snaps the ball back to another player during Friday evenings Ontario University Athletics rugby quarterfinal against Trent University; defeating Trent 72-22.

2013 10 12 – A women takes on a role during Fort Fright, the annual Halloween event that occurs at Fort Henry. I’m not sure if it is the character she is mimicking but there is a Japanese Urban Legend of a woman who was mutilated by a jealous husband, the Slit-mouthed Women.

2013 10 13 – Grandma’s dog, Rosy, runs through the backfield of a relatives house on Thanks Giving Sunday. It is a Shih Tzu, the breed originated in China.
 THANK YOU,
Corey Lablans
