2013 Week 38 Photos
By Corey Lablans Photography
Wide-angle photography was this week’s theme until Friday’s
photo shoot. I thought about taking a wide-angle photograph but I prefer the
use of a telephoto lens when photographing portraits. Saturday’s photograph
will likely be from a telephoto lens and then Sunday’s climbing photo was a 50 f1.8.
This coming week’s photographs will not have a theme, enjoy.
2013 09 16 – Queen’s students, faculty and members of the
Kingston community assemble outside Stauffer Library to voice their opinion
towards the government’s attitude towards science. Numerous rallies were held
across Canada, expressing the need for scientist to be able to freely
communicate to the public. For more information check out: http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/stand-up-for-science-rallies-target-federal-government-1.1855977
2013 09 17 – A student writes on the sidewalk informing
students of the Peer Support Centre located in room 34 of the John Deutsch
University Centre (JDUC). They are open from 2:00 – 10:00p.m. 7 days a week
throughout the fall and winter. For more information check out: http://amspeersupport.com/
2013 09 18 – A student looks over some of the produce at the
farmers market outside of the John Deutsch University Centre off Union Street.
Every Wednesday various produce, food and bakery vendors line the sidewalk.
2013 09 19 – Students line up in front of a portable
BeaverTails stand used by many Queen’s groups for fundraising. A portion of the
proceeds goes towards the group running the event. Contact information for the
BeaverTails Mobile is Denis Thibodeau: btti@live.ca
2013 09 22 – A climber is lowered down after climbing at
“The Mills,” a climbing location in Kingston, Ontario. Members of the Queen’s Climbing
Club were introduced to outdoor climbing on Sunday.
