2017 10 02 – A train sits on the tracks in front of the 19th
century grain elevator along Thunder Bay’s shoreline. The Fort William grain elevator,
along with many others, was built in the mid 1920’s.

2017 10 03 – This is a view of Academy Gardens. A friend who is doing
his Masters at Lakehead University is helping me out, letting me stay with him
for a few months.

2017 10 04 – A silver maple leaf shows its fall colours.
Yellows and oranges are reflected once the plant’s chlorophyll begins to fade
and die. Chlorophyll is vital to photosynthesis providing the plant with
energy, when chlorophyll is healthy it absorb light in the blue and red
spectrum, reflecting green wavelengths.

2017 10 05 – A red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) holds onto a branch along the shoreline at
Mission Island Marsh Conservation area. A red squirrel’s pregnancy lasts 36-42
days and their young are called kittens.

2017 10 06 – A pre-release holofoil of Regisaur Alpha, along with a
Verdant’s Sun’s Avatar and holofoil treasure token are a few of the cards that
I got for placing first in Friday Night Magic draft.

2017 10 07 – Fall colours dominate the foreground as Mount McKay makes
for a beautiful background in Thunder Bay. Mount McKay is a mesa (table top)
mountain formed by differences in lithology resistance, the top is a resistant
diabase sill, underlined by sedimentary rocks.

2017 10 08 – Numerous birch trees make for a beautiful background
to this characteristic cedar siding shed north of Thunder Bay.
