Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2017 07 31 – The Solanum dulcamara has many common names: bittersweet, bittersweet nightshade, bitter nightshade, blue bindweed, Amara Dulcis, climbing nightshade, fellenwort, felonwood, poinsonberry, poinsonflower, scarlet berry, snakeberry, trailing bittersweet, trailing nightshade, violet bloom and/or woody nightshade.

2017 08 01 – A cool smoke like pattern is produced as the sun shines through a railing off Brock Street in downtown Kingston.

2017 08 02 – Minon framed Instax Mini 8 refills came in to Camera Kingston when the new Instax Minon camera arrived a few weeks ago. Numerous new refills have come out over the past several months.

2017 08 03 – Workers install the launch dock at Confederation Basin where Ktown Triathlon competitors start the swimming portion of the race.

2017 08 04 – The Canon M5 was released on September 15, 2016, a high level model of Canon’s mirrorless cameras which includes the M10, M3 and M6.

2017 08 05 – A recreational mineral collector makes their way out from the Smart Mine near Lake Clear, Ontario during one of this year’s Bancroft Gemboree mineral collecting tours.

2017 08 06 – Johnathan Savard proposes to Adriane Matheson-Smith in his family cottage in Coehill, Ontario.
