2017 06 19 – A photograph of the grossular garnets and epidote after it
has gone through muriatic acid. The same sample before can be seen on June 12th
with the calcite still present.

2017 06 20 – Various levels of cumulus clouds create
unique shapes in the sky north of Kingston. Cumulo-
means “heap” in Latin.

2017 06 21 – A scapolite sample from Craigmont, Ontario
crumbles on the back picnic table. Scapolite is named after the Greek word,
“skapos,” meaning rod.

2017 06 22 – The pathway behind the apartment buildings off Ontario
Street has collapsed due to high lake levels. The lake is approximately 85
centimeters (33.5 inches) higher then average.

2017 06 23 – A lady does up her rain jacket after getting out of a well
maintained Ford Model T on Wellington Street in downtown Kingston.

2017 06 24 – A member of the Octopus band performs during the Skeleton
Park Music Festival. The festival has expanded over the past several years, now
including artisan vendors.

attending the 23rd annual Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival at Mooney’s
