Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2017 01 02 – Branches are silhouetted against the last light of the setting sun and clouds near the Glenora Ferry in Picton, Ontario.

2017 01 03 – Two people make their way along Ontario Street in downtown Kingston, as a Colorado low delivers a full day of rain to Southern Ontario.

2017 01 04 – St. John Ambulance First Aid Reference Guide, along with triangle bandages sits on a desk while taking Standard Fist Aid, CPR level A and AED. The two-day course covers the main medical situations one may encounter.

2017 01 05 – People fill up their cars at a gas station in Kingston. Prices for gas went up at least 4.3 cents per litre, as Ontario’s cap-and-trade program took effect as of January 2017. Gas in Kingston rose by about 10 cents when it took effect.

2017 01 06 – A couple take a selfie at the end of Crawford Wharf in downtown Kingston. In the background are some of the buildings of the Royal Military College.

2017 01 07 – Jim lifts up a snowmobile to show some of its mechanism such as the snowmobile’s slide suspension while teaching a one day handling course. The course covers a range of topics from minor repairs to preparation safety.
