Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

2014 07 28 - A spring peeper clings to the moss of an old tree in a forest near Tory Hill, Ontario. The spring peeper has an estimated life span of 3 years, only growing to the size of a paper clip.

2014 07 29 - Various participants on a mineral collecting tour dig through the soil looking for minerals at the Schickler Fluorite Mine near Wilberforce, Ontario. The minerals formed roughly 1.2 billion years ago in calcite veins and now are found loose in the soil.

2014 07 30 – John (Jake Jr.) de Vries of the Fade Kings performs during the Mineral Capital Concert Series at Millennium Park. They perform a wide range of music such as: R&B, Blues, Jazz, and Classic Rock.

2014 07 31 – A few people from the Bancroft Tent and Trailer Camp fish as evening sets in on Marble Lake. Several different fish can be caught in the lake such as: Rock Bass, Large Mouth Bass, Sunfish, Perch and Rainbow Trout.

2014 08 01 – A pig is carved for a pulled pork dinner at the Bancroft & District Chamber of Commerce during an evening event during the 51st Rockhound Gemboree.

2014 08 02 – Rockhounds look through the newly excavated area of the Beryl Pit during one of the 51st Rockhound Gemboree mineral collecting tours. Trips ran every day, Thursday to Sunday, going to Craigmont, Bear Lake Diggings, the Beryl Pit and the Rose Quartz Quarry.

2014 08 03 – A new store or restaurant is seen reflected in a puddle off Bell Boulevard in Belleville where the Zellers parking lot use to be. Two restaurant chains, Shoeless Joe’s and Panera Bread, will be building stand-alone restaurants.
