2013 Week 34 Photos

This past week was eventful with the Coe Hill fair Friday night, the pig roast Saturday followed by karaoke and Toronto on Sunday for the first football game of the 2013 season. Life will soon get busier with frosh week in less then a week. Can’t wait for that week of photos but until then; enjoy last week’s photos.

2013 08 19 -
The sunsets as I drive back to Bancroft. According to the Internet there was 13
hours and 43 minutes of daylight with the sun setting around 8:03 p.m. |

2013 08 20 – People on tour with the Bancroft and District
Chamber of Commerce sort through the CN Rock Pile off Station Street in
Bancroft. The material is from the Goulding-Keen Quarry mined in the early
1900’s for nepheline.

2013 08 21 – A dog looks out towards the crowd as spectators
watch David Francey, a Scottish-born Canadian folk singer perform. A good crowd
came out for the second last Mineral Capital Concerts. For more information on

2013 08 22 – A large American Bullfrog at Marble Lake in
Bancroft, Ontario. Was photographing a smaller frog when it jumped away and saw
this one hiding under the dock. |

2013 08 23 – A mother and daughter watch on as people ride
the “Ring of Fire,” an amusement ride at the Coe Hill Fair. Many people came
out to enjoy the fair, which has been running since 1882. |

2013 08 24 – Over a hundred people attended this year’s pig
roast at the Bancroft Tent and Trailer Camp. Every year they hold the event
starting off the evening with a dinner, complete with salad, beans and dessert,
followed by karaoke. |

2013 08 25 – Giovanni Aprile (11) takes the last few strides just
before making the first touch down of many during Sunday’s football game
against the York Lions in Toronto. Queen’s ended up winning the game 52-1. |
