Photography is the documentation of life, once that shutter has clicked, the moment has passed and history is made. Some may be familiar with project 365, a simple concept, take a photograph everyday for 365 days. This blog is an extension of the project; the goal is to keep photographing every day, who knows how long? It is an excellent archive to look back on, see how things change. Change can be subtle, such as different coloured flowers being planted each year to a changing landscape with buildings being demolished and new ones built. This blog archives life’s diversity and my encounters.

Christmas Spirit

December 20th, 2010 decided to take a drive around the city to look at the Christmas spirit. I remember when I was quite young driving around the city people really got into the holiday spirits as their houses were bright with colours and lawn decorations. There were always particular streets that you would go to and you knew every house was going to be amazing.
It has been several years since I have gone driving around looking at lights and the times have changed. Last night while driving around, I noticed there were not many houses that stood out, yet alone many houses that were decorated. Maybe people are to busy but that street I would always visit as a young child was as dark as the Grinch that Stole Christmas.

On that note, several houses that in the past have decorated found the time and created the art work of lights again this year.

Happy Holidays,
Corey Lablans
