Every student and staff at Queen’s University knows about squirrels. They seem to thrive in Kingston and especially around Queen’s. A few factors might be contributing, such as the abundant free food found around dumpsters or those that feed them. Certain squirrels are seen so frequently that staff and students know what one is what. Here is a few photographs I took of one such squirrel beside Gordon Hall.
On Thursday, January 13th, 2011 as I was driving home I heard on the radio that all emergency vehicles were called to Norman Rogers Airport. The airport put out a call for all emergency vehicles after receiving notice that a plane’s landing gear was not responding. I never saw a plane land while I was at the airports. As fire trucks, ambulances and police started to leave I assumed everything went well, so when CKWS arrived I followed them up to the fire fighters and they said that everything was good and the plane landed safely.
